FINCA-Afghanistan has Signed a contract for $250,000 with capital Sisters INC. for a period of one year. Capital sisters Inc. is a US based organization that works to advance the economic empowerment of women through entrepreneurship The purpose of this loan was to fund 2500 women in three months and each woman to receive a USD100.
FINCA Afghanistan held the opening ceremony for its DFA Project, the Tablet Lending & Credit Scoring Launch in one of its branches in Kabul, on 14th Jan 2019
The program was held in the presence of FINCA Afghanistan’s clients, all branch managers, supervisors, HQ staff, guests from AMA (Afghanistan’s Microfinance Association) MISFA (Microfinance Investment Support for Afghanistan) USAID/DAI and local media”.
Zar Wardak, FINCA Impact Finance’s Regional Director for the Middle East and South Asia, presented FINCA Afghanistan’s experience with gender-sensitive banking on December 14, 2018 conference call organized by The SEEP Network.
FINCA Afghanistan participated the National Women Entrepreneurs Summit on 19-20 November of 2018 in Kabul. The Summit was organized by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry & Commerce. In the conference, a large number of high rank government officials participated but it was mainly organized in support of Women Investors of Afghanistan.
FINCA Afghanistan was awarded as innovative member of the year for 2017 in Annual General Assembly (AGM) of Afghanistan Microfinance Association (AMA).
The program was held with the presence of FINCA’s internal clients. The Program started with a call from VP & MESSA regional Director and then Sayed Mohammad Ali Rawnaq the Interim CEO of FINCA Afghanistan spoken.
FINCA Afghanistan has, officially, opened two new Market Offices in two different Districts of Kabul City; Dehsabz & Chemtala on Sep 2018. The objective for opening the two market offices was to provide financial service to more people and ease access to credit for all eligible clients.
